Delete your Unclipboard account
You can delete your account yourself, in the app or on the web, at any time. This page explains the steps, what is removed, what is kept and what to do if you cannot sign in.
Delete it yourself (fastest)
- Open Unclipboard (the iPhone or Android app, or app.unclipboard.com in a browser) and sign in.
- Go to Settings, then Account, then Delete my account (owners see Request deletion).
- Confirm, and enter your password when asked.
What happens
Technicians and admins: deleted immediately. You are signed out everywhere, your name, email address, phone number and password are removed, invitations to your address are cancelled, and queued account email from that organization addressed to you is cancelled. Work you did for your employer (job notes, photos, signatures, time entries, estimates and invoices) is your employer's business record and stays with them, shown as "Former team member".
Owners: deleting an owner's account means deleting the whole organization, so it is a request that we carry out within 30 days. Nothing is deleted at the moment you ask. You keep full access, you can download everything first (Settings, then Exports, then Download everything: a ZIP file with all of your records and every uploaded photo, signature and your logo; passwords, sign-in tokens and A5N's billing records are never included), and you can withdraw the request at any time before it is carried out. When it is carried out, the organization's data and uploaded files (customers, jobs, photos, signatures, invoices, inventory and team accounts) are permanently deleted.
What we keep
- The record that the business owner accepted the terms: the owner's email address and user id, the version of the terms, the time, a keyed one-way identifier of the network address and the device description. It is kept with the billing records below, to answer a payment dispute, and is not part of your download. Team members' acceptance is not recorded.
- A5N's own billing and tax records (orders, amounts, dates, Stripe reference numbers), for as long as tax and accounting rules and dispute handling require; there is no fixed deletion date and no automatic deletion of these records yet.
- For a deletion we carry out on someone's behalf (the emailed route above): who at A5N handled it and a short note of how the person was verified. For an owner's request this stays with the deletion record below; for a team member's account, which is deleted at once, it stays in A5N's own activity log with the account's internal id and role (never the email address).
- A record that the deletion request happened: its date, status and outcome, who handled it, the organization and user identifiers, and a manifest of what was deleted (names of tables and files, counts, and one-way hashes of rate-limit keys). The manifest does not contain the deleted content.
- Backups: backup copies in a private storage bucket hold the data until they expire: daily backups for 30 days, and one backup per month for 12 months. They are not used to restore deleted accounts except to recover the service after a failure.
If you cannot sign in
- Forgot your password? Use Forgot your password on the sign-in screen to get a reset link by email, sign in, then follow the steps above. This proves the account is yours.
- Still cannot get in (for example you no longer have the email address)? Email apps@a5nprime.com with your name, the business you worked for and the email address on the account. We will first confirm that it is you, for example by a reply to the address on the account or another check we agree with you. Once confirmed, a team member's account is deleted straight away; for an organization owner we file the deletion request on your behalf, and it is carried out within 30 days with the download and withdrawal options described above. We cannot delete an account for someone we cannot verify.
